Healthy Dal Recipe

MASOOR DAL
 
Ingredients:
        • 1 cup masoor dal
        • 1 and 1/2 cup water
        • 1 small size chopped onion
        • 1 small size choppped tomato
        • 2 green chillies (as per taste)
        • 1 tsp salt
        • 1 tsp turmeric powder
        • 1 tbsp mustard oil

Procedure:

        • Put 1 cup of masoor dal with 1 and 1/2 cup of water in a pressure cooker
        • Add little salt and turmeric powder and pressure cook it for 5 to 7 minutes
        • In a pan put 1 tbsp mustard oil
        • Put chopped onions and green chilies and fry till onion gets tender
        • Add tomatoes and cook till it gets soft
        • Put boiled dal into the pan
        • Give a boil and check the consistency
        • You can add water if needed
        • Simmer it for 2 to 3 minutes
        • And your dal is ready to serve

Serves:

        • It serves 2 to 3 people
        •  Serve it with hot steamed rice/chapati
